WYRE Forest athletes continue to do well for Worcestershire Special Olympics, returning from the Yorkshire and Humberside event with eight gold, seven silver and five bronze medals.
Gold medal winners: Jamie Dancyer (800m, 4 x.100m relay), Matthew Jones (softball), Claire Andrews (long jump, 4 x 100m relay), Philip Woodyatt (4 x 100m relay), Richie Styles (softball).
Silver winners: David Swinbourne (100m, shot putt), Andrews (200m), Ian Harper (200m), Ellie Jones (softball), Woodyatt (long jump), Styles (50m).
Bronze winners: Woodyatt (shot putt), Styles (standing long jump), Andrews (100m), M Jones (standing long jump), Martin Jones (200m).
Also taking part: Matthew D Jones.
Three club swimmers flew to Dublin to take part in the National Downs Syndrome Swimming Championships of Irel-and, where Steven Boyce won the 25m freestyle and came third in both 100m and 50m freestyle.
Debbie Allen-Trew was second in the 50m freestyle, and third in 50 and 25m backstroke, while her sister, Caroline Allen-Trew came second in the 25m freestyle and third in 25m butterfly.
