TOM Kenderdine, Kidderminster and Stourport Athletic Club's most successful distance athlete, won the Action Heart 5k race at Himley Park.
Kenderdine's time of 15 minutes 14 seconds, was over 15 seconds ahead of second placed Steve Brookes of Tipton Harriers.
The event was run on hilly grass surface, which is not traditionally the fastest surface to run on, making Kenderdine's time all the more impressive.
Three women from the club competed in the event.
Emma Hornby led them home with a time of 20-0, and was followed by Colette Maynard 230-10, and Maria Gonzalez 22-07.
l KIDDERMINSTER athlete Heidi Jarosinski has qualified for the English Schools at Southampton in Septe-mber after an impressive performance at the Midland Combined Events championship at Abingdon.
The 18-year-old Haleso-wen Athletic Club member finished runner up in the senior girls event with 3783 points, helping Wyre Forest team to win the team event.
The combined event features 100m hurdles, 200m, 800m, shot putt, javelin and Jarosinski's specialist discipline, long jump.
