WHAT an interesting letter from Mrs Jacqui Penn (Letters, June 23) attacking me for not listening to the people of Wyre Forest over the schools review?
How dare she vent her bitterness this way? I have just been re-elected to the county council with a substantially increased majority. I also helped get four new colleagues elected and saw two other candidates come within 120 votes of winning.
That effort was achieved by six months of hard work knocking doors and talking to real people in this district.
We are the listening party and will continue to be so, speaking up for the majority of citizens in this district.
Readers may be interested to know I have personally been receiving dozens of letters from residents over the schools review, all, I might add, with a vested interest. But Mrs Penn never wrote to me.
So do not preach to me about listening, Mrs Penn, if you cannot contact me and express your view in the normal way.
