The skittles team reached the county semi-finals.
Flower arrangers had been involved in a display at Worcester Cathedral and in the county entry at the Royal Show.
Ann Freeston reported on the annual meeting in London, which she attended as delegate. She said the two resolutions were passed by a large majority. The speakers had been Jane Fonda, on Education for Women, Baroness Helena Kennedy QC on Justice for Women, and the author Bill Bryson on "Save our Streets".
National president Barbara Gill had urged members to look forward and "try something new".
The June speaker was David Nichols, of Millers Jewellers, Wolverhampton, a firm founded by his wife's great-great-grandfather in 18566.
The next meeting will be on Monday, July 11 at Areley Kings village hall at 7.30pm when Dr Bob Bibby will talk about "Grey paes and bacon - the Black Country, its people and history".
