THE school fete, blessed with glorious weather, raised over £2,000. The variety of stalls and refreshments drew a large crowd to the playing fields, where they were entertained by the choir, recorder groups, instrumentalists and the increasingly popular drums combo. A most enjoyable afternoon and the Friends of Bosbury School (FOBS) appreciate your support.
This Sunday, there is no church service at Bosbury but all are welcome to a special service at 10am at St Michael and All Angels', Ledbury. This is the last service by The Rev. Dr Colin Beevers before retiring.
As team rector of the Ledbury ministry team for nine years, he has been a familiar face at Holy Trinity, Bosbury and on Sunday, Bosbury Church choir will join the other deanery choirs to sing the hymns and anthems chosen by Dr Beevers for this celebration.
On Thursday, July 7 at 10am, Holy Communion at Bosbury and every following Thursday this month. Parish communion is at 9.30am on Sunday, July 10.
The next concert in the Music at Bosbury series is by Vital Spark West Gallery choir and diverse instruments, bringing you the lively church music of Thomas Hardy's England. The venue is Holy Trinity, Bosbury on Saturday, July 9 at 7.30pm. Tickets are adults £6, children £3, family £15 to include a glass of wine/soft drink and nibbles.
Neighbourhood Watch. There will be a meeting at The Old Boys' School on Thursday, July 14 at 7pm for all those interested in Neighbourhood Watch. Inspt Susan Thomas, responsible for this area, will address the meeting and will answer any questions you may have.
Duty rotas permitting, PC Judy Carter, the rural beat manager, and Alison Dore, the community support officer, will be in attendance.

Note, next month's village coffee morning will not be held on the customary third Saturday but on July 23 at 10.30am.
