THE two counties' very own Olympic Gold medallist, Leslie Law, is hosting an evening at Huntingdon Hall in Worcester, where he will be talk about his equestrian career.
The event - due to take place on Tuesday, July 19 - is being held in aid of Cradley C of E school, where villagers have raised more than £100,000 towards the building of the new school. They still have another £50,000 to collect.
Sue Ronan, who is co-ordinating the event, said: "This will be the perfect evening for people who love horses and is of tremendous interest to aspiring equestrians.
"Leslie is our local Olympic champion and an inspiration to us all. During the evening he will tell us how he became interested in riding, the ups and downs on the road to his success, and his experiences at the Olympic games.
A question and answer session will follow the talk and Leslie will be on hand to sign copies of his book, Shear Gold.
The event begins at 7.30pm and tickets cost £12 for adults and £6 for children under 13. A family ticket costs £28 and boxes for seven people are available for £60.
