POLICE have repeated their warning about keeping doors locked after thieves entered three Alcester homes last Tuesday night.
The first incident was at St Nicholas Rectory, where a member of the family disturbed two men who had let themselves in through the front door.
They made off towards Moorfields, taking with them a wallet containing bank and credit cards, driver's licence and some keys.
The raiders were white and in their 20s.
One had dark hair and was about 5ft 6ins tall and wearing dark clothing. Both smelt heavily of cigarette smoke.
About half an hour later, a handbag was taken from the stairs of a house in Abbey Mews after robbers got in through an unlocked front door.
In the third incident, a young woman found a man in her bedroom in Oversley Mill.
He said ''hello'' and left through the window.
He had blond or ginger hair, was aged 20-30, clean shaven and wearing a white T-shirt and dark trousers.
Some of the property stolen was found in the vicinity of Moorfield Road and Henley Street.
A police spokesman said: "People should be aware there are opportunist thieves around and they should keep all doors and windows locked.
"In this weather, they are often left open but these people are just looking for opportunities to get inside the property."
Police are appealing for information and anyone who can help should call Stratford or Alcester CID on 01926 415000.
