PUPILS at Alcester High School have been celebrating their sporting success after picking up four district trophies in one term.

The Year 8 netball team was unbeaten in the South Warwickshire League last term and also won the inter-schools tournament, beating Alcester Grammar School in the final. Basketball and football teams from the same year won the Stratford District and Mid/South Warwickshire tournaments respectively and the Year 10 basketball team won the Stratford district tournament.

Jamie Powell, head of PE at the school, said: "I'm very happy all the hard work they have put into it has been rewarded and I hope they continue to be successful next term."
