DAVE Titterton has strengthened his Stourport Swifts squad by drafting in young winger Mark Thompson from Coca-Cole League Two side Shrewsbury Town.
The 20-year-old, who can play on both left and right flanks, failed to make the breakthrough at Gay Meadow after suffering a broken leg earlier in his career.
Thompson will be joined at Walshes Meadow by another former Shrewsbury player, teenage midfielder Dan Bragoli, who returned to England this summer following a spell for USA A-League side Wilmington Hammerheads.
Titterton has also recruited powerful midfielder Chris Childs for the second consecutive year. Childs signed for Swifts last summer from Bridgnorth Town, but re-joined the Travel Factory Alliance side within a couple of months.
Titterton said: "It's great to have Dan back and he is able to play for the full season. Mark is a good lad, but he's had a couple of really bad injuries at Shrewsbury which have set him back. We will nurse him back and I'm sure he will do well. He's got a lot of pace and likes to take his man on.
"I'm still looking to bring in one or two more players in areas where we need strengthening, but I'm going to be patient."
Full-back Paul Lloyd and midfielder Andy Wells have signed for Midland Alliance side Oldbury United. Centre-back John Newell has also left.
