THE grandeur of Ragley Hall forms the backdrop to an alfresco performance of Carlo Goldini's A Servant of Two Masters, performed by the Crescent Theatre Touring Company on Friday.
The play, described as a "ribald, freewheeling comic masterpiece," is set in 18th century Venice. It tells the story of wily impoverished Truffaldino, an out of work servant who manages to enter the service of two masters on the same day.
However, all is not straightforward. A spokesman explains: "His two masters are separated lovers on the run and end up in the same inn, each unaware that the other is there.
"Confusion abounds in this comedy of disguise, deception, love and longing."
The performance starts at 7.15pm and tickets, priced £9.50 (£8.50 concessions), are available on
the night.
