A TARGET of 151 proved no trouble for Alvechurch and Hopwood as Badsey's Worce-stershire County League stru-ggles continued last Saturday.
Having been asked to bat on a damp wicket, Badsey openers Ian Hardwick and Adam Westmacott made steady prog-ress until both were dismissed in swift succession leaving the visitors on 68-2 after 20 vers.
Nick Powell held together a rocky middle order with 34 but a total of 150-8 from 45 overs gave the bowlers plenty to think about during tea.
Powell then claimed two early scalps but opener Dodge-well carried his bat for 49. And, despite Powell picking up a third wicket, an unbroken fourth wicket partnership steered Alvechurch to victory in the 41st over.
