I am just wondering if it's the same story everywhere?
I don't want to moan, I don't want to complain, but the problem is just not going away in fact its getting worse...Anti Social Behaviour...Yes! We have all heard it before, but until you experience it first hand don't mock.
It rules our lives. Where we go, how long for, back before dark, if we go on holiday have we got a minder and not just for the pets sake, for peace of mind.
Its all down to gangs of youths, hanging around our streets sometimes till late in the evening smoking drugs, drinking alcohol, making as much noise as possible and damaging peoples' property.
What do the police do when you call them? Just drive past with a passing glance. No names are taken, they are not questioned nor are they told to move on. When they do eventually go they leave a trail of rubbish the council have to come and pick up. That's the police for you. Full of support for the community.
Housing is another story. Oh they go visiting Anti-Social Behaviour families and they warn them time and time again about behaviour. Do these families listen...No!...They ridicule the system repetitively breaking Tenancy regulations and making the lives of all the decent folk around them intolerable.
As for ASBO's (Anti Social Behaviour Orders) they are a joke. They are very rarely used. Well, I think its about time they were used extensively and given full backing. Then perhaps these families and the yobs connected with them will find themselves having to behave or else suffer the consequences...the ASBO Boot.
I am fed up of living on a housing estate amongst the few moronic anti- social families and there hoody offspring that want to spoil it all for the normal living folk. These families are just repetitively warned over and over again.
Let's make Bromsgrove and its housing estates a better place to live. Let's make these yobs realise they are on a losing streak.
So all you people in authority out there... Isn't it about time you did something for the community? Give our lives back and rid us of these parasites.
A fed up Sidemoor resident
