THE Artrix has been open for months, but its web site has no programme details or booking facilities.
I joined the mailing list when the centre opened but so far have had just a welcome e-mail. Today, I turned to your Time Out section confidently expecting to find an advertisement listing the Artrix's programme, but found nothing.
The Artrix is yet another example of Bromsgrove District Council's failure of imagination and lack of competence. Maybe, if they had built the centre on the Recreation Ground and avoided the 'municipal incinerator' look it might have brought some life to Bromsgrove's dying town centre. As it is, it sits out of sight and out of mind in a desolate location with seriously inadequate marketing.
The Artrix needs all the publicity it can get, so lets discuss the current problems in the open and ensure its management do something to make it easier for those of us who would like to support this venture to do so.
