ASTWOOD Bank warmed up for their National Village Knockout Cup clash in the worst possible way, slumping to a seven-wicket defeat at the hands of Ombersley in Division One.
The Jill Lane visitors had Bank skittled out for just 68 and had little trouble in reaching their target, their 72-3 securing them a seven-wicket win.
But Division One rivals Alvechurch fared better as they recorded a 76-run victory over Bewdley.
It was batsman John Rose who led the way for the visitors with a knock of 49 as they totalled 192-8.
Feckenham's hopes of closing the gap on the Division Three leaders were dashed when they went down by 80 runs at Enville.
Rhian Bray scored a useful 48 for the visitors but they were still dismissed for 113.
Enville needed to cope with the bowling of Pete Monk (4-61) but cope they did and they eased their way to 193-9.
Hewell travelled to Vine in a mid-table Division Six clash and returned with an excellent seven-wicket victory.
Batting first, Vine were dismissed for 139, leaving Hewell to claim the spoils as they powered their way to 140-3.
