The June meeting was very well attended. Brenda Jenkins, our president, welcomed members and visitors. Taking us through the meeting Brenda outlined items from the county news sheet mentioning paragraphs useful to members.

Roma, our secretary, read previous minutes and correspondence, including notices and detail of future activities.

Flowers for the committee table were given by Jean Jones. Birthday wishes were given out, flowers being given to Margaret for a special one.

The letter from the NFWI board were given out to members about WI objectives and were discussed by some members.

Roma explained about the possibility of WI house closing. Our link delegate, Mary Davies, gave members a talk on her day spent at the AGM annual meeting in London. Giving interesting details about the resolutions discussed.

Millie, one of our members, organised a walk, enjoyed by all taking part, exploring the Lickey Hill Country Park. Rene gave a report of bowls taking place in Sanders Park. Brenda introduced our speaker for the afternoon Mrs Harrington, telling us all about a holiday spent with the NFWI in Lake Garda.

Tea and biscuits were distributed by Norma. The competition results were announced.

Brenda then closed the meeting, our next is on Tuesday, July 12, with a demonstration of candlelight and flowers at 2.15pm in the Masonic Hall, Churchfields.
