A FAMILY of ducks has become the latest residents of a Spa nursing home - and staff at St John's, on St Peter's Walk, have gone completely quackers over them.
The kind-hearted employees at the home haven't ducked out of their responsibilities and have provided a shelter for the soon-to-be-born family under a parasol in the sunshine. They have also made sure the mother duck, who has built her nest in some shrubs near the home, has plenty of water. Manager Julia Roberts said: "They are so cute. The mother duck and her mate started hanging around the car park about a month ago, and then a few days ago one of my staff noticed she had made a nest. We can't wait for them to hatch."
She added: "We have several trained midwives on hand if the need arises!"
