STRATFORD's B team has retained the Premier Division title in the Prudden Road Surfacing League.
The new champions were, however, disappointed to have shared the points with their nearest rivals Inkberrow after having to concede two rubbers.
Injured captain Tim Page was furious with his replacement for failing to turn up, leaving Simon West without a doubles partner as Stratford dropped their first points of the summer.
The top pair of Callum Bailey and Rob Slatter took Stratford past the post with straight set wins as they overcame Tom Trott and Jim Richardson 6-3, 6-1 and Graeme Rankin and Adam Hill 6-1, 6-2.
Third-placed Studley confirmed their position with a 3-1 victory over a Claverdon side struggling to avoid the drop.
Dave Innes and Chris Hughes proved the heroes for the winners with a 5-7, 6-4, 6-1 victory over Pieter Van-Hengel and Andy Williams before overwhelming Mike Bradley and Brian Bayliss 6-1, 6-0.
Peter Wersocki and Chris McGregor also overcame Bradley and Bayliss 6-2, 6-7, 6-3, but went down to a resurgent Van-Hengel and Williams 4-6, 3-6.
The closest match was between Chipping Campden and Stratford C who shared a 2-2 draw. Jamie Lindner and Mark Kirkbride dominated proceedings with a 1-6, 6-4, 6-1 victory over George Goodman and Richard Monk and a 6-0, 7-5 defeat of Peter McDonald and Lawrence Dingley.
However, Campden captain Ken Dawson and Mark Evans slumped 6-2, 6-0 to McDonald and Dingley and 6-4, 6-3 to Goodman and Monk.
Littleton retained fourth position when they overcame Henley 3-1.

Harbury 4, Ullenhall 0: Alan Rendall & Colin Mercer bt Cornford & Burman 6-1, 6-2 & Gregory & Sabin 6-2, 6-3. Ed Wilson & Richard Harding bt Gregory & Sabin 6-0, 6-2 & Cornford & Burman 7-5, 6-3.
The top two teams in the third division both won leaving Moreton seven points ahead of Studley.
The former defeated Henley 4-0, while their closest rivals accounted for Littletons 3-1.
Bidford's win over Shipston lifted the winners to within a point of their rivals near the foot of the table.
