BROADWAY played their next round of the Willersey Provisions Cup against Littleton last Wednesday when both home and away sides won by 15 shots for a convincing 117-87 victory.

Broadway remain unbeaten in the competition so far with one match to play against Aston Somerville later this month.

At Littleton, Brian Ford finished strongly to beat Tony Cleaver 26-15 and Steve Aldren was always in front against Mick Emms before winning 20-11.

Played in superb weather on a quick green, there were just four shots between the two teams after ten ends.

However, Broadway edged ahead due to strong performances from Phil Taylor and Paul Speake and led by 14 shots after 15 ends although only winning on two of the five rinks.

In the race to the finish, Taylor notched up a six on the 18th end and won by 15 shots against young Richard Moule.

Speake held off a spirited fightback by Andy Sparkes' rink to win by four shots, while Colin Cooper gained six against Phil Moule in the last four ends to get ahead on the last and win by one shot.

Mark Rainbow and Andrew Walters both won shots on the last end to tie their games and give Broadway a handsome victory by 20 shots.
