PATRIOTIC Redditch library staff will be recreating some wartime spirit and helping residents celebrate the 60th anniversary of the end of the Second World War.
On Wednesday, July 13, from 2.30pm, residents are invited to the Alcester Street library to listen to a married couple share their vivid memories of the war years.
A long table will be set up in true street-party style for guests and staff to enjoy tea, cake and camaraderie.
There will also be a display of books which will be publicising The People's War website, where members of the public can share their memories and photographs.
