THE boss of a national company paid a visit to a Worcestershire store to help out with the pre- Chrstmas rush.
Co-operative Group chairman Bob Burlton rolled up his sleeves to lend a hand on the shop floor at the Pershore branch of the Co-op in High Street.
Mr Burlton got stuck into stacking and replenishing the shelves and helping customers pack their bags at the checkout.
He said: "This is a really busy period for the stores and our dedicated staff often work longer hours than usual. To support them, many of our head office colleagues have been volunteering to work in the stores and help out with the pre-Christmas rush.
"It's been good to get on the shop floor and give the staff a helping hand."
