THE NEW Inn is under new management, boasting an extensive food menu and a wide variety of traditional cask ales.
New managers Rob and Annette Challis are welcoming customers old and new to the Ombersley Road venue.
They will be serving food all day, from noon-8pm on Sundays, and noon-9pm on every other day except Wednesdays.
There is also a selection of meal offers to tempt customers.
Wednesday nights will see a steak night from 6-10pm, and people can enjoy an 8oz rump or gammon steak, or Hawaiian chicken, cooked to their liking, with chips and peas and selected drinks, all for £5.49.
And Monday to Thursday, until 7pm customers can enjoy two meals for £7, choosing from classic dishes including steak and ale pie, liver and onions in gravy, sausage and mash, chicken breast and chips, breaded plaice, and cauliflower, broccoli and leek bake.
There is also a regularly-changing specials board and an all-day roast for £5.25.
A Christmas Fayre menu will provide the perfect menu for a family
meal or an office party, and customers will be able to pre-order wine. At the moment Hardys chardonnay or merlot is available for £7.
The New Inn also offers traditional cask ales, which are changed regularly. There is Banks's Bitter and Banks's Original as well as four guest ales.
The pub is open from noon-11pm Sunday to Thursday and from noon-midnight on Friday and Saturday.
Community involvement is at the heart of the New Inn, with a meat raffle on Friday nights, with proceeds going to charity and on Sunday night a quiz is held from 8pm. There are two darts teams, and a football team.
And Annette said over Christmas they would be having Santa to visit one Saturday so families could bring their children for free.
Christmas Day is already fully booked but customers are welcome to come and enjoy a drink from noon-3pm.
And New Year's Eve, will be a low-key affair, giving customers the chance to come and see in 2007 for free at their local pub.
Annette added: "We welcome customers old and new to the New Inn."
