WH PEPLOW, WORCESTER'S most prestigious family run jewellers, are preparing for another busy Christmas.
The shop has a fabulous location on the corner of High Street and Pump Street and its enticing window display makes it an irresistible haunt for people wanting to buy jewellery that's a little bit different.
Diamonds and gemstones are carefully chosen from all over the world, and there is a fine collection of watches -- including the exclusive Rolex range -- gold, silver and platinum jewellery, pewter, clocks and barometers.
Upstairs is the watch repair workshop and jewellery repair centre. There are smart glass cabinets filled with a host of gifts such as dressing table sets, hip flasks, cufflinks and the traditional range of Georg Jensen jewellery.
Joanne Bourne is the manager of the Worcester branch - there's another in Stourbridge - and explained that the company's success is down to its 187-year-old reputation for providing first class service
and top quality craftsmanship.
"Peplow retains an extremely loyal customer base because we offer personal service to all our customers," explained Joanne, who has a raft of impressive qualifications to her name, including the Retail Jewellers Diploma, Gemalogical Diploma and a management diploma.
"All our staff have a wide knowledge of all our products and by nurturing staff enthusiasm, promoting professionalism within the jewellery industry, careful planning and an inspiring range of products, we have created a very successful brand.
"We have introduced two new lines for Christmas - the Windmills range of mechanical watches in silver, gold and platinum, and some charming gold bracelets. We also offer a free gift wrapping service from now until Christmas," added Joanne.
Peplow pride themselves on offering both traditional and contemporary jewellery, as well as being able to offer coloured stones which they source from all over the world - from highly prized pink Sapphires to Topaz and Tourmaline.
The Master cut diamond is exclusive to Peplow as a member of the Company of Jewellers.
The experts are only too happy to source a stone for a client who can then have it put into the setting oftheir choice.
"Anyone who wants to buy a special gift will not fail to be impressed with what we can offer them at Peplow," added Joanne.
