Jake Lightowler Vicky Harding

THE wedding took place at Whitney Court of Jake Lightowler, son of Keith and Adrienne Lightowler, of Hereford, and Vicky Harding, daughter of Wally and Cherith Harding, of Hereford.

The bride, given away by her father, was attended by bridesmaids, Kate Best (friend), and Ellen McGibbon (niece).

The page boy was Ewan McGibbon (bride's nephew).

The best man was Karl Lightowler (bridegroom's brother), and the Registrar, Peter Kline officiated.

Richard Davies Paula Davies

The wedding took place at St Elgin's Church, Llanigon, of Richard Davies, eldest son of Andrew and Cheryl Davies, of Brecon, and Paula Davies, only daughter of Gwyn and Hilda Davies, of Llanigon.

The bride, given away by her father, wore a full-length ivory gown, with diamant detail, and carried a bouquet of pink lily of the valley, and pink roses.

The bridesmaids were Alison Thomas and Cindy Williams (bride's friends), and Jade Davies (niece). The flower girls were Grace Beedle (friend), and Leah Davies (bride and bridegroom's daughter). The page boy was Connor Davies (bride's nephew). The best man was Gareth Powell (bridegroom's friend).

Christopher Head Lucy Edwards

The wedding took place at St Nicholas Church, Sutton St Nicholas, of Christopher Stephen Head, eldest son of Stephen and Anne Head, of Dumfries, Scotland, and Lucy Jane Edwards, only daughter of Mike and Gill Edwards, of Sutton St Nicholas, Hereford.

The bride, given away by her father, wore a satin gown with beaded detail, and carried a bouquet of white roses. The bridesmaid was Katie Williams (cousin). The best man was Garry Head (bridegroom's brother), and the Rev Heather Short officiated.

The bride is a physiotherapist, and the bridegroom is an optometrist.

Daniel Locking Claire Morris

THE wedding took place at Longworth Hall, Bartestree, of Daniel Locking, only son of Jeffrey and Jennifer Locking of Honddu Close, Hereford, and Claire Louise Morris, eldest daughter of Peter and Jane Morris of Hampton Park, Hereford.

The bride, given away by her father, wore a strapless ivory gown with gold embroidery and diamant detail and carried a bouquet of black baccara roses, black calla lilies and ivory avalanche roses. The best man was Geoff Lewis.

Robin Watts Donna Stewart

The wedding took place at the church of St Paul's, Tupsley, of Robin James Watts, the only son of Peter and Wendy Watts of Hope-under-Dinmore, and Donna Stewart, the only daughter of Les and Elaine Stewart, of Brecon.

The bride, given away by her father, carried a bouquet of white tulips and roses, and was attended by bridesmaids Barbara Watts (bridegroom's sister), Lesley Heard, Becky Watts and Nadene Burgess (friends).

The best man was Robert Williams and the Rev Clare Dyson officiated.

Stuart Chester Kirsty Lancaster

STUART Chester married Kirsty Lancaster in a ceremony conducted by the Rev William Pridie at St Mary's Church, Fownhope.

Stuart is the youngest son of Antony and Patricia Chester, from Much Marcle, and Kirsty is the eldest daughter of Eric Lancaster and the late Susan Williams, of Belmont, Hereford.

Given away by her father, Kirsty wore a strapless ivory dress with sequin and pearl details, and carried a bouquet of ivory roses.

Her bridesmaids were Rachel Phipps (best friend), Abigail Lancaster and Sarah Williams (sisters) and Nikki and Rachel Welling (friends of bride and groom).

They wore champagne-coloured dresses and also carried ivory roses.

The best man was Stuart's brother Richard and a reception was held at the Three Counties Hotel before the couple left for their honeymoon in Tunisia.

Lewis Gopsill Colette Ward

The wedding took place at Ashford Bowdler Church, of Lewis Gopsill, the eldest son of Mr and Mrs Gopsill, of Stoke Prior, and Colette Ward, the eldest daughter of Lawrence Ward of Ludlow.

The bride, given away by her father, was attended by bridesmaids Yazmin (daughter), and page boys Piers and Henry (sons).

The best man was Steven Lloyd (bridegroom's friend), and Father Richard Green officiated.

Michael Smith Elizabeth Cawood

The former organist at Llandaff Cathedral, Dr Michael Smith, the son of the late Harold and Dora Smith, married Elizabeth Mary Cawood (known as Mary), daughter of Nora Wilcock, and the late Frank Wilcock at Parkfields Country House, Pontshill.

The bride wore a green silk dress with a matching embroidered coat and the best man was Adrian Smith (bridegroom's son).

A weekend house-party was attended by 50 guests and the Erica Lyons Jazz Trio entertained at an evening reception before the couple left for their honeymoon in Corsica.

Dr Smith retired as organist at Llandaff in 1999.

Paul Forshew Melissa Powell

The wedding took place at Ledbury Register Office, of Paul James Forshew, the youngest son of Mrs G Forshew, and Melissa Rose Powell, the eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs Powell.

The bridesmaids were Rebecca Smith (sister), Helen Campbell and Heather Hawkes (friends). The best man was Richard Thomas Martin (bridegroom's brother). The Rev Derek Simpson officiated.

The bridesmaids were Patricia Oliver (sister), Jade Dyke (friend), and Paige Stephenson (bridegroom's niece). The best man was Ryan Jones (bridegroom's friend), and Fr Michael Evans officiated. The bride is a community health care assistant, and the bridegroom is a locksmith.

The wedding took place at Belmont Abbey, of Francis Jonathan Gough, son of John and Sue Gough, and Nicola Jane Power, eldest daughter of Ian and Diane Power.

The civil ceremony took place at The Swan at Hay Hotel, Hay-on-Wye, of William Ford, son of Peter and Angela Ford, of Chichester, West Sussex, and Rebecca Keen, daughter of Kevin and Bernadette Barnes, of Clifford, Hay-on-Wye.

The bride, given away by her stepfather, wore an ivory satin gown with an embroidered antique lace overskirt.

The bridesmaids were Chloe, Natasha and Michaela Barnes (bride's nieces).

The best man was Nicholas Ford (bridegroom's brother).

THE civil ceremony took place at Homme House, Much Marcle, of Simon David Cook, son of David Cook, of Yarlington Mill, Hereford, and Gwen Cook, of Puerto De Mazerron, Spain, and Annie Louise Ginnever, daughter of John and Marian Ginnever, of Beverley, East Yorkshire.

The bride, given away by her father, wore a gown made by her mother, of satin with silk chiffon overlay. She carried a bouquet of purple lissianthus and blush roses.

The bridesmaids were Emma Massey (friend), Hazel Ginnever (cousin), and Natasha Lewis (bridegroom's niece). The best men were Neil Layton, Karl Preece and Kev Lewis.
