ALL Saints Church is poised to play its part in this year's Three Choirs festivities by hosting six events, including starting the Fringe Festival with a sit-down dinner and music from Powys folk trio Hoover The Dog this Saturday.
The evening will be a relaxed affair, with people enjoying good food before kicking back to the sparkling sounds of the band. Non-diners can take advantage of the bar, open between 6.15pm and the start of concert (around 8.30pm) and during the break.
Diners must pre-book tickets through the Courtyard, but it will be possible to buy music-only tickets on the door at 8.15pm.
All Saints will welcome The Colmore Consort on Sunday (performing snippets of chamber music), while on Monday The Mellstock Band will transform the church with authentic instruments and period costume from Thomas Hardy's era.
On Tuesday Jemma Phillips, who has been the Prince of Wales' official harpist, will play. The venue signs off on Thursday, August 10, with the rousing and passionate tango music of Arkangel.
