ELLIS - PENMAN

Jean Elizabeth Ann Ellis, eldest daughter of Mr & Mrs Peter Ellis of the Isle of Man, married Jonathan Guy Jones Penman, only son of Mrs Glenys Penman of Solihull, at Wroxall Abbey Estate on April 29. The bride was given away by her father and attended by her sister Michelle Ellis and Clare Murphy. The groom chose Pretesh Chauhan as best man, and the ushers were Ross McCarthy, Chris Dennis, Alex Willetts, Ben Hugill, Dominic Hugill and John Whitehead. After a reception at Wroxall Abbey Mansion House, the couple honeymooned in Mauritius and Dubai.

O'DWYER - WILLS

Paula Anne O'Dwyer, youngest daughter of Julia Wylde of Kingswinford, married Marcus James Wills, eldest son of Joseph Grainger and Christine Wills of Stourbridge, at Blakelands Country House in Bobbington on May 28. The bride was given away by her brother-in-law Rob, and attended by her sister Karen and daughter Melissa. The page boy and flowergirl were the bride's son Matthew and niece Erin. The groom chose Matthew Lane as best man. After a reception at the same venue the couple spent their honeymoon in Mauritius.

HORNSEY - HUMPHRIES

Heatha Amanda Karen Hornsey, youngest daughter of Mrs Valerie Hornsey and the late Mr Harold Hornsey of Powys, married Ian Humphries, youngest son of Mrs Dorothy Humphries and the late Mr Edwin Humphries of Stoke Heath, at St Nicholas Church in Warndon on May 6. The bride was given away by her mother and attended by the groom's niece, Lydia-Alice Humphries, while the groom chose Mark Humphries as best man and Joshua Humphries served as usher. The reception was held at the Red Hart near Flyford Flavell.

SYMONDS - WINTERBOTTOM

Deborah Elizabeth Symonds, only daughter of Mr & Mrs David Symonds of Hartlebury, married Daniel Jonathan Charles Winterbottom, younger son of Mr & Mrs Michael Winterbottom of Bristol, at St James Church in Hartlebury on April 22. The bride was given away by her father and attended by Judy Terry, while the groom chose Ross D'Aniello as best man.

GOLDEN WEDDING

Droitwich couple Jennifer and Michael Carter celebrated their Golden wedding anniversary with a thanksgiving blessing at Worcester Cathedral on March 24. Fifty years after their marriage in Jennifer's native London, the couple elected to mark the special occasion in Worcester, where Michael was born. Fifty friends and family members joined the pair for the blessing and a reception at The Guesten, the cathedral's conference centre, before the celebrations were rounded off with a family meal in the evening.
