A KIDDERMINSTER writer is hoping to inspire readers with a collection of poetry to suit all tastes.
John Facer, of Marsh Grove, who writes under the name JTB, has written his first book, titled Poems of the Universe!
There are 150 poems in the book, which has been published by PublishAmerica, containing humour, life observations, wisdom and philosophy.
Mr Facer, who has been writing poetry for around 30 years, said: "I used to write song lyrics so a natural progression was for me to move on to poetry."
Once he has an idea, it can take him between 30 minutes and an hour to complete a poem. He said: "I allow it to take me. I don't try to dictate something - it just comes to me."
Mr Facer said he believed there was a poem for everyone in his book, including people who might not consider themselves fans of poetry.
He added it was a book people could just "delve into" whenever they felt like it, especially as the verses were listed in alphabetical order.
The retired hearing aid audiologist enjoys writing different types of poetry and his book includes many love poems as well as serious subjects.
