At present, Acorns has 12 out of its 30 beds closed at its three hospices.
Families are still being offered end-of-life and emergency care, but some families have not been able to book respite care at the hospice.
Respite care is important, as it provides families with time to recharge their batteries, take a short break, or perhaps spend quality time with their other children.
Many older children who visit Acorns make strong friendships - they like to book in to Acorns with their friends for a holiday.
Acorns is working incredibly hard to raise enough money to re-open these beds and hopes to review the situation in September.
