WOOD Works, a new exhibition featuring work from Malvern sculptor Adrian Shiel, Danish designer Hans Wegner and local furniture maker Jeremy Cornwell is showing at the Foalyard Gallery, Bransford.
Adrian, exhibiting at the gallery for the first time, makes sculptures of hares, birds and horses. He is intrigued by the subtleties of grain and colour brought out by the long process of hand-finishing after his pieces are initially shaped.
Jeremy will be showing new work, including fan tables inspired by the Orient he describes as "Orgami in wood", while Hans's designs include the classic wishbone chair and relaxing rocking chairs.
Wood Works continues until the beginning of August. The gallery is open Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 5pm.
