A BOOK to help the green-fingered transform their gardens into natural wildlife havens is being launched at the Hay Festival today (Thursday).
Bringing a Garden to Life is published by Blakemere-based gardening mail order company, Wiggly Wigglers, and written by Jenny Steel.
The 160-page hardback containing hundreds of photographs is a comprehensive guide to how to create an eco-friendly garden using natural plants and flowers that attract birds, insects and animals.
The guide is based on the creation of the Wiggly garden at Lower Blakemere Farm, near Moccas, and contains information and advice on everything from the value of dandelions and teasel to making a pond and a mild wildflower meadow.
The book has received rave reviews from the national press and is being launched at Cafe Direct, Hay-on-Wye, as part of the literature festival.
Bringing A Garden To Life is available from Wiggly Wigglers, Lower Blakemere Farm, Blakemere, Herefordshire HR2 9PX (01981 500391), priced £18.
