PERSHORE is a wonderful little market town which is famous for its Abbey, Georgian architecture and maybe mostly for its plums.

The town situated in the heart of the Vale is one that is on the up and has seen a resurgence of late with new businesses and more visitors coming to the town.

This is largely due to the emergence of Pershore as a regular stop off point for theatre goers who want to sample the delights of the new Number 8 arts centre on the High Street.

A new, state-of-the-art, indoor tennis centre is also being built at Pershore Horticultural College to allow the areas youngsters to develop their sporting talents. The town also boasts a number of successful sports teams including the football team formed in 1988.

The town is dominated by the Abbey which can be seen from miles around but Pershore is at its best during the summer months when the towns people enjoy a number of festivals and events. Pershore Plum Festival, Midsummer Brass, Pershore Jazz Festival and of course the amazing Pershore carnival that has become better and better over the years, offering

something for everyone.

There is also no shortage of country pubs in the area and a few of the town's pubs brew their own ales or have regular guests from all over the country.
