On Saturday 25th, volunteers from the local branch of the Parkinson's Disease Society were out with their collection boxes at Tesco's Evesham calling on local people to contribute to the society's funds.
Money collected will go towards helping people with Parkinson's and their carers in Worcestershire.
Tesco's very kindly allowed our collectors to use their premises to ask shoppers to give to the cause to which they responded very generously.
The sum of £507 was collected, all of which will go to the welfare of local people.
On behalf of the society could I ask you to recognise the generosity of those who donated and to Tesco's for providing such an excellent venue.
If I can help you with any further details about the collection or the society, please let me know.
Barney Deering, Honorary Secretary, Parkinson's Disease Society, Worcester and District Branch.
