COLOURFUL and creative images produced by a Kidderminster photographer are on display at Kidderminster Library.
Malcolm Lane, who has been interested in photography since he was 16, is hosting an exhibition of his work.
He turned professional two years ago and since then has been manipulating his photographs on his computer by adding extra colours, layers and textures.
The 53-year-old has spent 18 months working on the collection on display, which includes digitally altered-images, as well as ordinary photographs.
He said using the computer gave him more "creative influence", adding: "You can take just a straight photograph and it is finished as soon as you click the shutter but, with this, you can spend days adding to them to get the image you want."
Mr Lane's images include landscapes from Snowdonia and the Lake District, local inspirations such as the Wyre Forest and River Severn, flowers, animals and architecture.
They also feature sculptures at Chatsworth House, in Derbyshire and an abandoned car found near the River Severn.
He said his favourite image was of Blea Tarn in the Lake District. "I like the colours and particularly like the lake - it's a very beautiful spot," he said.
The former IT project consultant said he went out taking photographs as often as he could.
He said the exhibition, which runs until Saturday, April 1, had been successful so far as he had already sold seven images and been commissioned to do an animal portrait.
