ACCLAIMED musician John Rutter has performed at Worcester Cathedral in aid of its Appeal for Music and Light.
The famous Requiem, one of Mr Rutter's best-loved works, was among a list of pieces tackled by aficionados of choral music who joined him from across the county.
Singers performed with the musician to raise cash towards the £5m campaign, which aims to replace both of the Cathedral's ailing organs.
John Soper, of Worcester Cathedral Arts, said: "It was a great privilege to have John Rutter in Worcester. He is an inspiring and charismatic musician.
"By helping to raise funds for the musical life of the Cathedral we are ensuring that unique events of this kind can be performed in a setting worthy of the music."
