THE medieval church of St James's Church in Cradley will host a series of seven concerts, with a blend of visiting and local talent.
The series opens with Voicemail on Sunday, March 5. All the concerts will raise money to support church music and parish funds.
For the opening event, the male voice quartet will present a mix of madrigals, part-songs and close-harmony singing with a dash of humour.
Birmingham pianist and teacher Andrew Thayer will play pieces by Beethoven, Rachmaninov and Liszt on April 2, while baritone William Coleman offers Songs from Sevenside by Howells, Finzi and Gurney on May 7.
The Border Voices are the visitors on June 4, with Renaissance sacred music and Evensong.
On July 2, it is the turn of Herefordshire Youth Chamber Choir. There is also a local flavour on September 3, when advanced students from Herefordshire Music Service perform.
Worcester Cathedral assistant organist Chris Allsop joins forces with Herefordshire Youth Chamber Choir on October 1. The programme includes works from medieval to modern choral.
All concerts are at 7pm, with the Evensong at 6pm. Refreshments will be served, with a chance to chat to performers. Tickets are £7.50 (concessions available). Contact Sue Hughes on 01885 482168.
