Back in Bromyard after having spent three years working in a small animal practice in Kidderminster, vet Martin Flamank has returned with his wife Kerry.
Opened last week, Bromyard Veterinary Surgery has been purpose built at the site of a former car showroom in King's Arms Yard. "Starting with an empty building gave us enormous scope for designing and developing the surgery to our exact specifications" said Martin.
Bromyard Veterinary Surgery is a dedicated small animal facility thereby keeping the focus entirely on small animals allows the team to keep up to date with advances in medical and surgical techniques.
The purpose built surgery with its glazed walls from the prep room through to! the kennels allows for the close monitoring of patients recovering from surgery.
In all the surgery has three separate kennel areas; one for dogs and cats, one to house prey species (ie rabbits, guinea pigs, birds etc), and an isolation unit to house animals harbouring infectious diseases.
Its well equipped laboratory can perform a range of in-house tests with speedy results. Nurse clinics offer free weight checks, dental checks and provide advice on a wide range of topics including flea and worm control.
A 24 hour emergency service is provided, and as Martin and Kerry live on the premises all in-patients will be monitored and cared for round the clock.
