Where were you born?
West London. Moved to Worcestershire 30 years ago.
What was your first job?
Engineering trainee in a small bespoke engineering company. Excellent foundation for what turned out to be a successful career in engineering and technical sales.
How would you describe your current job?
Dealing with people is always challenging but very rewarding when you can help make a positive difference to someone's life.
What sort of house do you live in?
A modest family home in a quiet residential area with the Malvern Hills as a backdrop.
What sort of car do you drive?
Practical and economical without too many gadgets and gizmos.
What is your greatest achievement?
Being a family man and running my own business.
What is your biggest regret?
I prefer looking forward to looking back because you can influence the future but you can't change the past.
What would you like to change about your life?
Sometimes you need a little luck in life apart from hard work and commitment. It would be nice for once to get lucky!
What makes you angry?
People who are too short-sighted to make the most of opportunities and prejudice the chances of others.
What bad habits do you have?
Bad habits? What are those? Dunking biscuits, chocolate bars and moaning at the bad habits of others!
What do you do to relax?
Being in the company of good friends and like-minded people.
What is your favourite restaurant/bar?
Chez-nous!
What is your favourite TV show?
Question Time, UK History, Top Gear.
What is your favourite holiday destination?
Anywhere in Europe - and as far away from the madding crowds on holiday beaches as possible!
What do you hate/like about where you live?
The hills and surrounding areas are magical but it is probably the pot-hole capital of Worcestershire where roads are concerned.
Who is your best friend?
My wife
Who is your greatest hero and why?
Isambard Kingdom Brunel for his commitment, belief and his pioneering talent
Which household chore do you hate most?
Washing-up! It plays havoc with my hands!
What is your biggest extravagance?
Educating our children!
What would you do first if you won a million pounds?
Employ an excellent manager to run our business and then enjoy some travelling.
