Established more than 20 years ago by furniture designer Jonathan Macmillan, the Insitu store in Friar Street, Worcester, has become synonymous with the very best in affordable, contemporary furniture design, accessories and lighting.
Since the store's inception, Mr Macmillan has established a close working relationship with manufacturers who reflect the philosophy of his business.
The gorgeous Ligne Roset range, sourced from France is a case in point. Its signature corner suite range Togo - first designed in 1973 and now enjoying something of a revival thanks to its appearance on the last two series of Channel 4's Big Brother - encapsulates the mood at Insitu.
The inviting, luxurious shapes are stylish without pretension, high quality and very desirable.
And new in-store now is the latest Stokke 'Tok' chair and stool from Norway and a great new collection of cabinets that can be suited to fit all spaces and budgets.
Also new for 2006 is an updated website - www.insitufurniture.co.uk - that allows you to view most of the range online and regularly access the very latest showroom clearance offers with massive savings on selected items.
Set over three floors, the Insitu store is a unique blend of style, beauty and quality. It would be quite easy to while away an hour or two browsing, touching and sitting on the wonderful items on display.
From the stunning canvasses that adorn the many walls to the fabulous range of sofas, chairs, rugs, mirrors, lamps and even clocks, if your looking for ideas, be prepared for a rush of inspiration.
Insitu is also famous for its range of reclining and ergonomically designed chairs by manufacturers such as Stressless and they also stock the highly popular range of children's seating by Tripp Trapp.
And if its traditional with a contemporary twist that you are looking for the Collins and Hayes range will not disappoint.
Allied to great design the store also offers outstanding customer service; all members of staff have been handpicked because of their interest and knowledge in design and they all undertake regular training including factory visits and formal study.
There is a home design service available and credit facilities, including a deferred payment option make it all the more affordable. It is even possible to take some in-stock items home to try 'insitu'.
