ARTISTS in Malvern are offered the chance to pick up some tips from one of Herefordshire's top artists.
Barry Herniman, who lives near Ross, is holding his first Malvern exhibition later this month.
The opening day of Shades of Light at the Lyttelton House Gallery, Priory Steps, will include a demonstration for fellow artists.
It runs from Saturday, February 25 to March 11.
Barry is a regular feature writer for The Artist magazine and has produced books and videos on aspects of watercolour painting.
Winner of the Society of All Artists Artist of the Year in 2001, he has exhibited in Ireland, Canada and the USA and runs painting holidays and short breaks in the UK and abroad.
Barry's past career is in graphic design, and his favourite medium is watercolour, although he also works in pastels and acrylic.
The exhibition will include several specially-produced watercolours of Malvern.
The demonstration on the opening day, including a painting session, will cost £5 a head.
Anyone interested can call gallery owner Andrew Morgan on 01684 574921.
