IMAGINE a lamp without a genie, Cinderella falling in love with Aladdin and an evil Prince Charming - that's Aladdinella!
Audiences in Wellington Heath will be treated to the pantomime-with-a-difference in a two-night run next week.
Following last year's successful Pussin Boots, local writers Patrick Adams and Richard Allsop decided a parody of Cinderella and Aladdin would add extra fun and entertainment.
The modern take includes a song called Greased Pumpkin, a Jeremy Paxman look-a-like inspecting the pumpkin-turned-carriage and a cameo from Pussin Boots.
Sisters Molly and Rose Bray are to play Aladdin and Cinders, with Katherine Clack offering support as the beautifully transformed Cinderella.
The pantomime, which has a predominantly young cast, will raise funds to help support youth work in Wellington Heath.
As well as acting, young people also had a hand in designing and producing the sets.
Opening night is on Friday, February 24, at 7.30pm, with two further performances on Saturday, February 25, at 2.30pm and 7.30pm.
Tickets cost £2 for children, £4 for adults and are available from the Farmers Arms or (01531) 632707 or 631939.
