AS part of the extensive extra-curricular programme on offer at Bromsgrove School, pupils continue to attend regular street dancing lessons at the Bromsgrove School of Dance and they are making good progress through the United Kingdom Alliance Freestyle Dancing Awards.
Natalie Smallshaw and Jessica Hancock achieved gold grade with honours in freestyle dancing and Charlotte Skelly achieved her gold bar two grade with honours, also in freestyle dancing.
l TWO Bromsgrove School pupils were flying high after being awarded Royal Navy scholarships to attend a gliding course in Hampshire. Jenny and Marian Taylor learned to fly K13 and K21 gliders during the course, which involved ground schooling and practical theory of flying, as well as 20 accompanied flights in a glider with a qualified instructor.
They took the controls and were given expert tutoring. This culminated in solo flights for both girls at the end of the week.
