REGARDING the traffic problems looming because of the weight restrictions on Abbey Bridge, Evesham.
It's not surprising with the amount of traffic it has to cope with. Is it not time that Evesham Town councillors and so called traffic planners woke up to the fact that Evesham town has two bridges?
Is there no way Swan Lane/Mill Bank could be used for the hundreds of motorists who live in Bengeworth, Badsey, Bretforton and Offenham who have to endure the stop-start procession of frustrated drivers with their cars using excess amounts of fuel and producing excess amounts of pollution slowly rumbling down the High Street, Vine Street and Abbey Road and over the clapped out bridge, just to get home from the town centre?
Surely before Wychavon spends £1.5 million on the High Street revamp the traffic problem has to be sorted.
STEVE MARSHALL, Badsey Lane, Evesham.
