Those in search of the latest and most effective skin treatments need look no further than Bewdley, where a new clinic provides professional, personalised care in a relaxed and private environment.
Springhill Clinic is run by Sally Durant, who has 25 years' experience in the health and beauty field. Sally trained at Champneys Health Resort in Hertfordshire and qualified with prestigious international qualifications. After working in exclusive salons in London and overseas, she subsequently turned to the education and training of future therapists, incorporating the role of an international examiner.
Sally's interest in deeper skin care and the medical aspect of her profession sparked her interest in Collagenics non-surgical cosmetic treatments. She has run an approved Collagenics clinic for two years, and also owns the franchise for the Birmingham, Worcestershire and Warwickshire area, which encompasses 30 salons.
"I had always wanted to establish a specialist skin and body care salon and so decided to combine our Collagenics treatments with other skin and beauty therapies at the Springhill Clinic. This has enabled me to offer a full range of corrective and rejuvenating skin therapies," Sally explains. "Having researched and taught all aspects of the skin's anatomy and physiology and studied dermatological skin conditions in depth, the main focus will be on a thorough diagnostic consultation that takes into account a client's lifestyle and the internal and external influences on the skin. A programme of treatment can then be tailored to the client's needs."
The principal skin care ranges used at Springhill Clinic are those of Rene Guinot and Dermalogica, combining clinical cosmetic science with healing herbal elements and essential oils. Guinot's Hydradermie is complemented by their latest rejuvenation treatment - Hydradermie Lift, a non-surgical face lifting treatment using muscle toning microcurrents. The Collagenics portfolio of treatments includes line smoothing injectables, chemical skin peels and lip enhancement, teeth whitening and the treatment of excessive underarm sweating.
Thread vein removal both from the face and legs is a further specialism, and minor skin blemishes such as skin tags, milia (whiteheads), age spots and warts can also be permanently removed.
On a more relaxing note, aromatherapy, La Stone Massage Therapy and detoxifying body wraps are also available, alongside beauty treatments like waxing, tanning and nail care.
However, the message at Springhill is not only to rejuvenate us as we age but also to maintain youth, and to teach young people basic techniques in personal care. Sally has devised treatment plans for typical teenage problems from acne to nail biting, along with a set of three-hour DIY programmes specifically aimed at the under-20s, teaching skin care techniques, the care of the hands and feet and make-up application.
"Springhill Clinic and Collagenics work excellently together to offer a comprehensive package of aesthetic care," Sally confirms. "Both work to the same principle of thorough client consultation, assisting in informed decision-making on the appropriate course of treatment followed by a high standard of after-care service."
As well as Sally herself, Springhill Clinic employs three Collagenics nurses who also provide clinics in establishments throughout Birmingham and Worcestershire, plus administrations manager, Helen Poulsom, and sales and marketing manager, Leigh Osborn.

Collagenics
Collagenics was launched in 1998, offering a range of non-surgical beauty treatments designed to help fight the ageing process. The company now has 350 clinics across the UK and Ireland, and is regarded as a pioneering medical aesthetics provider as well as being approved by the Medical Defence Union.
The Collagenics franchise opportunity was introduced in 2003, to expand the successful business and to ensure stringent procedures and standards are maintained. All practitioners receive specialist training before providing treatments that enhance facial features, minimise scarring or tissue damage, and off-set the signs of ageing.
One of the most popular Collagenics therapies is the Line Tamer treatment, used for softening and smoothing expression lines such as frown lines, forehead lines and crow's feet. The ideal result softens and takes out lines, while leaving some natural expression. Lines and wrinkles can be smoothed out instantly and safely with a non-allergenic, natural filler such as Restylane, Perlane or Hydrafill. These products have a very similar chemistry to the skin itself and reinforce the support network in the dermis, softly lifting out creases in the skin.
The latest treatment, in Collagenics clinics from October, takes a new approach to skin rejuvenation by moisturising from within. Restylane Vital ensures the skin retains fluid, and stimulates collagen and elastin production to plump up crepey-looking skin on the face, neck, hands and dcolletage.
Resurfacing skin peel
The very latest in skin resurfacing. Chemical peels that visibly resurface the skin, without the down time! Becoming more and more popular, just one peel leaves the skin looking radiant. A luxurious, extravagant resurfacing package, these peels are comfortable without the soreness of a phenol peel, however, deep enough to visibly resurface the skin.
Hollywood Smiles Teeth Whitening
Remove staining caused by foods, ageing or illness to reveal a confident dazzling white smile. The most effective tooth whitening system available, offered by dentists for decades. This procedure is not harmful to teeth and costs much less than the same procedure at a dentist.
Treatment of Hyperhidrosis
An inconvenient and embarrassing problem can now be a thing of the past with this effective treatment. The sweat glands are 'de-mobilised' to enable the client to feel more confident and comfortable in extremes of temperature or stress.
