Latest contract renewals with Worcestershire firms are fuelling the success of Martley-based TM Logistics, part of the Taylors of Martley plc group.
Europe's fastest growing building materials producer Kingspan Insulation, packaging specialist Esterform and international automotive component manufacturer Hydro Aluminium UK have all chosen to renew contracts with the logistics specialist.
TM Logistics manages a round-the-clock delivery operation at Kingspan Insulation's increased 28-acre site near Pembridge and delivers around 120 loads a day nationwide.
Rapid growth over the last three years for Esterform means its delivery operation is set to expand for TM Logistics. Annually, Esterform produces 500 million polyester bottles for the drinks industry from its Tenbury Wells home.
An extended three year contract with world leading light metal manufacturer Hydro Aluminium UK sees TM Logistics becoming its primary logistics provider. It manages a demanding warehousing and just-in-time delivery operation of chassis for Aston Martin and Lotus from Hydro's Worcester base.
Nationwide, other new contract renewals include worldwide packaging giant Rexam Beverage Can and Crown Foods UK, two of TM Logistics' longest established partners with a commercial rapport stretching back nearly 25 years and 50 years respectively.
With its head office in Martley, Worcestershire, today TM Logistics employs 350 people working in 16 on-site operations and warehousing UK-wide.
Having become firmly established as a logistics specialist, two years ago the parent company launched TM Logistics with a blue-chip client list that any major plc would envy.
It's a move which has paid off spectacularly, with TM Logistics winning business from major league players and establishing a regional warehousing network nationwide.
The firm operates 200 vehicles and 300 trailers from 16 locations across the UK. TM Logistics also has a network of preferred partners responsible for managing more than 150 vehicles a day.
Turnover in the last financial year to June 2005 was £30 million. Today, brothers Stephen, Grahame and Robert Taylor are group chief executive officer, executive director of TM logistics and director respectively.
The board's objectives are ambitious. Grahame Taylor said: "The future growth plan forecasts the business developing through a combination of organic growth, new partnering arrangements and acquisitions, as TM Logistics diversifies and offers new value-added services in the supply chain."
