Since April 2003, about 1,300 tourism and leisure businesses in the region have benefited from a free one-to-one visit by an adviser from the Regional Centre For Tourism Business Support.
Ros Hammant is the adviser for Worcestershire, and she has been able to provide tailored help with all sorts of business issues, including developing effective websites and marketing, legislation and accessibility, accreditation, and customer care. She has also been able to advise and point businesses to where they can go for further help.
Here are some of the things Worcestershire businesses have said about the Regional Centre For Tourism Business Support:
The Royal Forrester, Wyre Forest: "My time spent with the tourism centre was invaluable and constructive, and our discussions opened avenues I probably wouldn't have otherwise considered."
Bants, Upton Snodsbury, near Worcester: "The centre is a valuable resource."
Colliers Hill Ltd, Bayton, near Bewdley: "They can see where you are and what you are doing and then recommend ideas or put you in touch with other people."
Ros can also supply easy-to-understand information - much of which has been specially commissioned by the regional centre.
