THE WTCS New Deal for Disabled People provides active help and support if you are in receipt of incapacity or a health related benefit and are looking to move into work.
WTCS provides a job finding service for disabled people in Worcestershire and Herefordshire.
"When you contact the service, you will be invited to discuss your work goals, and will be offered assistance in finding out about the jobs, training and other relevant services that are available and appropriate for you," said Craig Wheeler, team leader at the company's Worcester branch. "You will also have access to expert advice about benefit entitlement as you move into work."
To deliver the service WTCS has developed a network of highly skilled employment facilitators.
They are trained to listen, help and support both individuals and employers when a decision is made to return to work. In the past 18 months the service has found work for over 120 people in Worcestershire and Herefordshire.
"Once you return to work, our retention facilitator will support you for a further six months, and over 85 per cent of people we have placed into work sustain their jobs," added Mr Wheeler.
"You will receive a £200 bonus when you start work and stop claiming benefit. You will also receive a £50 bonus when you have completed 13 weeks in work."
