There are some things you can definitely guarantee with a funeral service from Edwin Harris and Sons - experience, efficiency and dedication.
The family-run firm is Kidderminster's longest established funeral directors and has been in the business since 1897.
Not surprisingly, Edwin Harris and Sons offer the sort of discreet, reliable, personal service you would expect from the town's longest-established funeral directors.
The current premises have expanded in line with the growth of the business, to the current building which includes a Chapel of Rest, office blocks and consultation rooms.
It provides a 24-hour service covering the entire Wyre Forest area - Kidderminster, Bewdley and Stourport and surrounding areas.
Edwin Harris and Sons has met the various demands of customers through the years and discretion has always been at the heart of their service.
In tune with their 109 year-old history, Edwin Harris and Sons staff are experienced and mature and can carry out their duties with a minimum of fuss.
It can often be difficult to cope with practicalities during a time of bereavement so their friendly and sympathetic staff are there to help to deal with delicate matters at an emotional time.
"It is all about caring for people who come to us at a time of grief," says owner Peter Hughes.
"We endeavour to make them feel they are in safe, caring hands and that we will handle their needs to the very best of our ability."
Edwin Harris and Sons offer a range of services to suit all budgets and pockets.
Customers can choose from the range of Daimlers and limousines the company has at its disposal or even opt for the increasingly popular trend for retro-funerals - such as horse drawn carriages.
They can also select from a wide range of coffins - from bamboo, willow, pine and mahogany.
Edwin Harris and Sons also offer a range of printing service - for example, the printing of church service cards, invitations and memorial cards - and can take care of as much or little of the funeral arrangements as the customer request.
"It is very much about taking the burden and strain from people at a sensitive time," says Peter Hughes.
"Ultimately it is their choice not ours. Being an independent funeral director, we encourage customers to choose the funeral they want for their loved ones rather than a set standard service."
The cost is ultimately dependant on the precise requirements of the funeral.
Investment plans are available to assist people with the often unexpected financial consequences of a funeral.
