MOUTHPIECE Theatre Company is bringing With A Little Bit O' Luck, a show tracing the career of Stanley Holloway, arguably one of Britain's greatest stars, to Worcester.
The first half, running for just one hour, deals with his early career and features songs from his early years and numbers from his first West End success up to his role as Alfred Doolittle in My Fair Lady.
The classic monologues are lovingly revisited in the second half including My Word You Do Look Queer, Three Ha'pence a Foot and Brahn Boots together with songs including With Her Head Tucked Underneath Her Arm, I'm Getting Married in the Morning and With a Little Bit o' Luck.
This biographical journey through the life of an all-round performer - Holloway's credits ranged from Brief Encounter to Olivier's Hamlet, and included several parodies of the latter, just for good measure - cannot help but be entertaining, especially with the magic Mouthpiece touch.
With A Little Bit Of Luck - Stanley Holloway Show can be seen at Huntingdon Hall on Saturday, at 8pm. Tickets £9 (concessions £8) from the box office on 01905 611427.
