Monday, January 30. Attended an Annual Town meeting in Melsungen - made a short speech as Mayor and enjoyed chatting with old & new friends.

Tuesday, January 31. Visited friends in Melsungen. In the evening joined a party at Hotel Rodenberg to celebrate Melsungen's Handball Team's success in the League. The hospitality was very much appreciated.

Wednesday, February1. Bade farewell to our friends, took the ICE train from Kassel to Frankfurt then flew home to Birmingham with wonderful memories of our time in Germany.

Friday, February 3: Meeting with Town Clerk and Revd. S. Mullings to discuss arrangements for a Civic Service to be held on Sunday, March 12 to commemorate the building of the Workman Bridge 150 years ago.

Saturday, February 4: Attended the official opening of Affinity Spas in Davies Road, a new company offering the great opportunity of "hot spas" for your garden. Thanks to Rita & Andy - every success to you both.
