Sports-mad youngsters from The Blue Coat School, Birmingham, have been putting in some golden performances both in and outside the county.
While the school's under-eight gymnasts took gold at the Trinity Gymnastics Championships at Wycombe Abbey School, Bucks, nine-year-old Jack Slattery scooped three gold medals at the Halesowen Swimming Club sprints night in freestyle, breaststroke and front crawl.
Not to be outdone, three of the school's ten-year-olds have won county honours in their sports.
George Holliday gained a place in the Warwickshire U-11 squash team, while Emma Maslen and Naomi Cottam were selected for the U-13 West Midlands hockey squad from a pool of around 60 youngsters.
Emma said: "The trials were really tough and there was a lot of competition for the places. We didn't expect to be chosen."
Good sports: Celebrating their success are Jack Slattery, George Holliday, Emma Maslen and Naomi Cottam.
