MUSIC SOCIETY: Shipston Music Society opened the programme for 2006 with a live concert presented by The Chameleon Ensemble.
This was a repeat visit by this well known group of musicians which was formed in 1993. They have played as resident artists in Canada and also with the major British Symphony Orchestras.
The evening's programme included work by Mozart and local composer Ivor McGregor, who was born in Leamington Spa in 1962. The Quintet Op 43 by Carl Nicholson concluded the entertainment.
The society next meets on Friday, February 17 at 7.30pm for an illustrated talk by Ian Boughton entitled My Grandfather the Composer. Guests and new members will be welcome. Contact on 01608 664602.
